Game Terms and Conditions

Hello and welcome to the inaugural Pod AFL drafting and trading game.
It has been a while in the making but it is finally here and ready for the upcoming 2010 AFL season.

BASIC INFORMATION
The idea of the game is simple, and stolen from Fantasy NFL which most have played. Basically every team captain will take it in turns at an OFFICIAL LIVE DRAFT to select a player of their choice. Once a player has been selected, no other team may choose the same player. In this game each team must select 8 defenders, 10 midfielders, 4 ruckmen and 8 forwards for their team. For each position, TWO of the players will be on the bench and act as a substitute if a player in the starting line up in the same position does not play. In addition, each team may select a captain who will earn x2 points, as well as a vice captain who will score double points only if the captain does not play.

SCORING
Scores will be taken from the Herald Sun Supercoach scoring system.
Captain will earn x2 points
Bench players will replace on field players who do not score

DRAFT
The draft will take place on THURSDAY MARCH 25th immediately following the Orthotics lecture at 1pm.

TRADING
All trading is to be confirmed and lodged at least 30minutes before the first game on the round in the TRADING thread, with one player stating the trade and the other confirming. Trading will reopen IMMEDIATELY after the final game of the round has ceased. General trade talk can take place on this forum or outside, anything goes.

FREE AGENTS
When removing a player and replacing them with a free agent, the deal must be lodged at least 30minutes before the first game on the round in the FREE AGENT thread. Free agents may be brought IMMEDIATELY after the final game of the round has ceased.

PRIZES
To make this game a bit interesting, an entry fee of $10 will be charged = $40 pool
The team with the most points at the end of the season will receive $40
